Chartered Membership Programme (CMP)
The CIOB recognise that there are many people in the sector who have gained the requisite knowledge and management skills to merit entry to CIOB through membership (MCIOB), though they may not have the full academic qualifications. The CIOB offers these people the chance to gain eligibility through the Chartered Membership Programme.
Who is this qualification for?
Candidates must have at least one of the following to start the course:
- Five years’ experience in a construction management role
- Completion of a Level 4 Site Management qualification
- Technical qualifications such as HNC or HND.
Professional Review (PR)
The final stage to gaining Chartered Membership is the Professional Review (PR). The Professional Review assesses that you have the right knowledge, skills, and experience in the three main areas of competence: occupational, management and professionalism.
Who is this qualification for?
- You will need to hold a degree ( or level 6 qualification) or higher to be academically eligible, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (5 years if your qualification is not in the built environment or is a non-honours degree)
Upon passing your assessment, you will become a Chartered Member and be entitled to use the designation MCIOB. This internationally recognised accreditation will enhance your career, help you win contracts, boost the professionalism of your organisation and raise standards of construction management around the world.
